Humans need to talk to humans. This is how we truly connect with each other. While text and images and videos have gotten a lot better on the internet and mobile over the years, voice has not innovated or changed much. Ironic since the original purpose of the phone was voice communication. We believe we can reinvent and redesign this experience in the age of Al and LLMs to be smart, organised and delightful. We're starting with voice notes and async communication.

The founding team previously built Citymapper, so we have some experience developing technically complex, well designed consumer products used by millions, and have a unique approach to doing so. We understand that Talk Machine has nothing to do with trains though, hence we're hiring! We're seed funded and can pay competitively plus offer great early stage stock options. We work remotely and use our own product to collaborate. We value startup experience, ex-founders, entrepreneurship and builders.

We like shipping and iterating quickly. In this spirit, we have launched early. And hence our application process involves using our own product to apply by talking to us! No need to write essays or schedule calls, just send us a voice note, we will talk back, and we can have a conversation.
